Great device, but all I´ve seen in online vid´s is LAG!
Like many other devices, looks great, and when you read about it it seams like the best.
But, in reality you get functions but have to pay the price of laggy UI..
No, this isn´t for everyone, not me anyway, I´ve got the iPad and I´d but an Adam also if it turns out to be as smooth software-wise as the iPad, but I´m not holding my breath..
Ridiculous video btw, but funny… Lol!
does anyone know when will this beast be release?
Who was the idiot that put the flash logo on the iPad? Or just use a poor image.
Not a brilliant comparison really
You can’t really compare the Kindle to the iPad and ADAM since the Kindle is supposed to be mainly an eReader, nothing else.
I can’t wait this Adam ! funny commercial !
kind of like the microsoft vs apple saga of old.. i suppose .. less originality and everything cramped into one formula of microsoft
The Adam will kick major ass, but pricing is nowhere near finalized, and to be honest, your probably going to have to double the 321 to get near the real price. But thinking about all the features you’ll be getting with it, I’d easily pay near 700 dollars for it..
I DEFINITELY WANT ONE
the kindle dx is a good device (very expensive though) … but what was that about no 3G on it. It does have it (and free). My gripe with ereaders (i have tried 5 so far – returned 3; sold 2) is that Adobe and the like still don’t license their best technology (say for pdf). If I were to use a full fledged os like Ubuntu (with a 3Qi screen), this offsets everything. I need multi-touch for my comics and graphic novels though.
not so fast. android store is presently only available for mobile/ cellular devices. as you see on notion ink website, it will be a store notion ink develops. I prefer Ubuntu on this. I just want multi-touch to work on ubuntu (and of course the 3qi screen). Also, the iPad in it’s own right is a great device (just too expensive and no 3Qi screen). All I need to do for now is shove all my credit cards in to the freezer.
This looks like the tablet to buy .. nice job.
Hmm the $321 price will likely be for the non-Pixel Qi version. I see realistic high street prices between 450 and 800. The main factor will be how many layers of middle men there are. This has the potential to severely dent the e-reader market. It just everything the iPad should have been AND without the crappy Apple insistence on lock-in. I for one will be getting an Adam. I can’t wait. But it’s Mary Lou Jepsen’s Pixel Qi component which is the true marvel here. Very clever lady !
Does anyone know any it will be available??
Amazon should strike a deal with these guys. This is what the kindle 3 should be – and it’ll take a brand name to compete with apple.
The 321 $ will surely not have the pixel qi display.
Get your facts straight and remove this overly biased and silly video.
go ahead and limit yourself with the ipad, if you ever want to install something go ask apple first. This will use the android store, the ipad is just an oversized ipod touch, it could have been so much more, but it was just dissapointing. Practially same OS same graphics chip, hell i could duct tape 4ipod touches and call it an ipad.
lol so biased but sooo right
The Best unofficial commercial of Notion Ink’s Adam that I have seen so far.
I will be buying three ADAMS!
ADAM ROCKS! ROTTON APPLE’s iCRAP STINKS!
Notion ink can’t wait to get my hands on it.iPad lovers don’t hate.
lol, if i was ever to buy a tablet, id go with ipad….the app store just slaps this notion adam piece of shit in its face. The fact that they put multitasking in this tell me the makers aren’t so smart….also who wants a video conferencing on tablet? think about it
why on “3g” the adam has like 4 checks and the i pad one?
Adam, although a great beginner tablet, is still too limited. It has features that should be in all tablets, but for tablets to be taken seriously, they can’t put in OS’s that are used for phones, Windows 7 is a great start as it is built specifically for touch screens and handwriting, if Android becomes hand writing capable and has multiple work programs then it will be great, but alot of companies have closed their doors on Android already because it didn’t sell on the current phones.
just to add that pure e-ink readers are of lil’ value…
you don’t know about the pricing yet, the page just states a range between 321 and 800 dollars. Also you can not compare a tablet pc with a e-reader, and e-reader with e-ink was not meant to be a tablet; of you course you can compare the experience of lecture in both devices, but saying “kindle dx has no flash” is just a big mistake, it’s like comparing a macbook pro or a HP envy with the Adam: it can’t stand a chance, ’cause there are different things!!
